Prime Minister of Tajikistan awarded medals to rescuers who returned from Turkey

Rescuers of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense completed their mission in Turkey. In honor of their return, an appropriate award ceremony was held in Dushanbe. Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda presented them with industry medals. This was reported to SNG.Today in the press service of the Republican Emergency Situations Committee.

The awards were presented to the rescuers on behalf of the leader of the Central Asian country, Emomali Rahmon. In addition to medals, the specialists who returned from the Republic of Turkey received gifts, military ranks and certificates.

In total, they were able to rescue three people from the rubble in Turkey. Five days after the start of the devastating earthquakes, they pulled a 6-month-old baby and a man out from under the ruins. A day later, they managed to save a 3-year-old child. They also found and removed the bodies of 217 dead.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tajikistan noted that the representatives of the rescue mission had fully completed their tasks. He thanked them for this.

Recall that Tajikistan sent 50 rescuers and humanitarian aid to Turkey. This was done as part of Rahmon’s order.
