Glamorgan’s playing squad flew yesterday (Tuesday) to Zimbabwe to start their pre-season tour (writes Andrew Hignell).
This is the third time that Glamorgan have toured Zimbabwe with the first taking place during March and April 1991 when the Welsh county played a first-class friendly against the national team, as well as taking part in a limited-overs friendly against Worcestershire. Glamorgan also visited Zimbabwe in April 1995 when they staged games against Matabeleland as well as other local teams.
This year, whilst based in Harare, Glamorgan will be playing a series of three-day, 50-over and T20 matches against local teams with their itinerary being as follows:
4, 5, 6 March v Northerns at Old Hararians CC (start time 1000)
8 March (T20) v Southerns at Harare Sports Club (start time 0930)
9 March (T20) v Northerns at Harare Sports Club (start time 1330)
10 March (T20) v Southerns at Harare Sports Club (start time 0930)
12 March (50-over) v Southerns at Harare Sports Club (start time 0915)
14 March (50-over) v Northerns at Old Hararians CC (start time 0915)
Ball-by-ball scores will be available via the Zimbabwe Cricket app (which is free to download). Match reports and other video content will also appear on the official Glamorgan website as well as on social media.
