International conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of IFAS will be held in June in Dushanbe

The international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the creation of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) will be held from 5 to 7 June this year in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the country.

The event will be attended by representatives of the founding states of IFAS, namely Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The next meeting of the Council of the Heads of the Founding States of IFAS will be held in September this year in Dushanbe, together with the fifth anniversary Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia .

The International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) was established in 1992 at the initiative of the Heads of State of Central Asia with the aim of improving the socio-economic and environmental situation in the Aral Sea basin.
