Minsk, Harare Sign Twinning Agreement



Minsk and Harare signed a twinning agreement within the framework of the state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev gave his take on the prospects for cooperation between the capitals of Belarus and Zimbabwe, BelTA has learned.

“We can cooperate in many areas. These are the energy sector, healthcare, education, water supply, water treatment, utilities equipment. We see that this avenue of cooperation holds a great promise. We know that our Belarusian goods are in great demand. Here [in Zimbabwe and the capital Harare] we see that we can help address many issues ,” the mayor of the Belarusian capital said.

Vladimir Kukharev said that in furtherance of the agreement, the parties will sign plans of action to further strengthen bilateral relations, including in trade and economic cooperation.
