The Republic of Zimbabwe has condemned the “aggressive war” launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip and demanded its immediate cessation.
Minister of Veterans, a member of the political bureau of the ZANU-PF ruling party and its official spokesman, Christopher Mutsvangwa, said at a press conference in the capital, Harare, that the situation in the Middle East is very dangerous, where two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are constantly being attacked and brutally bombed by Israel, which uses aircraft carriers supplied by the major powers.
The cruel and heinous bombing of the Gaza Strip and the merciless killing of innocent children continue, while Western leaders encourage Israel to carry out this genocide against the Palestinian population, and this is not right
he added.
He stressed that depriving the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip of basic needs, such as water, food, and electricity, is a “compound crime, because it is a crime of siege and a war crime under international law.”
As allies of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, since the struggle for liberation, we affirm our support for the Palestinian people, and we condemn Israel for not committing to the two-state solution, violating the agreements and allowing Israeli settlers to continue seizing more lands, with the aim of leaving nothing for the Palestinians, while now it [Israel] wants to forcibly displace them again to Egypt, or perhaps push them into the sea
he added
Mutsvangwa stressed that the ruling party in the Republic of Zimbabwe categorically stands with the Palestinian people, stands in solidarity with them, and condemns the ongoing aggression taking place in the Gaza Strip, “and we will not tire of calling for granting the Palestinians their rights, in any political solution, so as not to create an apartheid state” in reference to Israel.
