The African Judo Federation has decided to organize the 2024 African Championship qualifying competition for the Paris Olympics, in Egypt.
The tournament will be held in April next year.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, signed contracts for Egypt to host the tournament with officials of the African Union, with the venue to be determined at a later date.
The African Championship receives great attention from all teams on the continent, as it is one of the strongest qualifying tournaments for the Paris Olympics, and awards 700 points, strongly affecting the qualification process
